No, I'll have to check it out now, though. My horror library only has a few classic King titles. I do have almost the entirety of Brian Keene's catalog, and his writing is very King esque as well.

Glad you enjoyed! I really liked the movie watching it, but the end took it over the top for me when everything came together. And loved the kid actors in this also.

One of my favorite new gen horror films! Amazing children actors and a surprisingly emotional storyline. The movie that Finney is watching alone is 1959’s The Tingler. Great imagery with the bloody bathtub.

Ooo have you read the colab short story by Stephen and Joe called In The Tall Grass? I have listened to that audiobook more than once. It is so awful and full of dread. I loved it lol. They turned it into a movie on Netflix. They changed some things of course..it is ok on its own, but I preferred the book. I have not checked to see if they did another colab, but would love to see it. I did buy thr Joe Hill book thos story is in but have not read it yet.

I'd skipped this film upon release, as I'm not a huge fan of modern horror, but decided to give it a go here, and was really surprised by how good it was. I appreciated that the film didn't rely heavily on gore, jump scares, and music stings to provide the scares. Also, I kept thinking that it felt like a Stephen King story with the time setting, focusing on younger children overcoming the supernatural and a poor homelife, so I felt vindicated when I looked it up and saw that it was based on the short story written by his son, Joe Hill.
