Mike, JJ Abrams and Jonathan Nolan did actually give 'Ben' his own show. It was called Person of Interest. It was pretty good, but had an episode format for separate storyline, with one over arching storyline.

This is my number one favorite episode. It's generally a well-liked episode, but I don't think many people say it's their favorite. But Ben is my favorite character, so I absolutely love this episode. I think Ben is an incredibly rich and multifaceted character and this is a really big development episode for him. Major things happen for him in this episode, obviously. The death of Alex will impact him for a long time. And I'm not sure it's fair to say he sacrificed her, though he did. It's more that he really truly did not believe that Keamy was going to shoot her. He really thought that Charles Widmore and his men were playing by 'the rules' - killing each other (and family) is off limits. That's part of why he was so stunned after Alex was shot. He honestly believed he had the upper hand and that whole situation. And for the first time in his life, he was outplayed.

John is at the top of mine. Roland Deschain from Stephen King's The Dark Tower series is a close second.

Ben is at the top of my all time favorite characters list, Michael Emerson is a goat. John Locke is next, Terry O'Quinn is a goat. Great episode and great reaction, Mike. Are you an analyst by trade? :)

Love the lighting in the final scene with Ben and Widmore - both of their faces are half light and half dark - such a subtly subconscious way to portray their characters

First episode that aired after the writer's strike break. Was a scary time for us fans as many shows were being cancelled afterwards. The showrunners knew this one had to knock it out the park and they delivered. Great episode.

R.I.P Alex
Great great episode and great reaction.
We are already close to the end of the season and the remaining episodes are very good, they bring more questions but at the same time they bring more answers.
PS Come on Mike say it.. you love Ben!
