Much of Lost lore is based on classic literature. A jump off point for Lost was Lord of the Flies (I'm not giving away any spoilers as this was just a jumping off point).

The great news is that you’ve already seen the three worst episodes of Lost IMHO. I’m really looking forward to watching the back half of S3 with you.
