Another embodiment of the spirit of winter and snow, which, of course, must be appeased in every possible way so that it does not freeze too much. To do this, snowmen are dressed up with cozy scarves or shiny beads, and before modeling, people used to throw a coin in the snow and put a bucket on snowman's head as a sign of material prosperity. And if you whisper your most cherished wish in his ear, it will certainly come true as soon as the snowman melts.

But remember — not all snowmen are equally good. Beware that ones wich was sculpted on a full moon near cemeteries and old churches. Beware of watching snowmen from the window after sunset — even drawn curtains will not save you — these guys do not like it too much when outsiders interfere in their affairs.

But most of all, avoid encounters with snow figures on the road at night — after all, who knows whom the spirits of winter have brought to meet you: a harmless cheerful chubby snowman with a carrot nose or the sinister spirit of a traveler caught in a blizzard many, many years ago, doomed to wander forever along the roads in the guise of a snowman with the only desire — to get at least a little bit of living warmth.
