One thing people have asked is why did Ydde escape? Well, for the sequel, of course!
Unfortunately, the sequels and follow-ups were never done. :(

Lol, yeah. :) There's something going on here that we didn't get into. Ydde escaped really for plot reasons, but the justification was that as a living soul, he was immune to Quillian's ability to send the monsters to hell. They're all dead, killed by Ydde, so Quillian, as a demon princess, can send them to Hell to face judgement. Ydde will have to find his own way.
