Equilibrium: While experimenting with a keyboard, the musically untrained Dax inexplicably plays a melody she seems to remember from somewhere.

Ratings Robbie: 7.7. Robbie says he really liked Terry's performance and her anger levels, but he thinks the story didn't work well all together. Terry: 9. She says she finds it hard to distance herself from the episode. Garrett: 7. He agrees with Robbie that episode "strayed" from its own story. The problem was they were still writing several days into filming, and it showed. Patreon patrons/fans: 7.4. Right between Robbie's and Garrett's rating. 1:07:30 -- 1:10:00.

Caveat: Tom Paris' Klingon was half-human.

For the first time I realized that THREE of the hosts of this podcast played characters who married Klingons! Sorry, GaWa, that you got left out!

Elisabeth Westner

The Star Trek equivalent of building the airplane while trying to fly it. I bet that's why it turned into a boring old whodunit in the middle instead of having it be more of a Jadzia/Juran showdown, which would have made for a much stronger, more sci-fi kind of episode.

Elisabeth Westner

Still writing the episode during filming?! How common was this? Not brief rewording of a line here or there, but major plot writing from what it sounds like. How could this happen?
