Loved having both Armin and Terry together in this episode!

I haven't even got to the meat and potatoes of this episode yet, I'm just cackling over Terri trying to tell this story and the rest interrupting like "wait you have a CHAINSAW??" 😂😂

Also, Odo doesn't have a stomach. Why would he have lungs? Additionally, he appears as whatever he is, meaning he can't be scanned and differentiated as a shape shifter compared to whatever form he chooses to take. I don't think he needs to breathe.

I always assumed that only 10% get a symbiote because of scarcity. They also go into more details in later episodes, some of which conflict with this episode. So what is real?

I’m so glad Terri mentioned her scenes with Nana in the last episode. I commented last week on how important they were to me as a young woman. She’s right that there could have been so much more, but for Star Trek at that time it was absolutely groundbreaking. I had never before been able to watch two Star Trek female leads going an adventure like that and I was so happy to see it. Terri talking about how frustrated she was that there weren’t more Dax/Kira adventures reminded me a bit of when Nichelle Nichols was thinking about quitting because she didn’t have enough to do, not realising what an inspiration she was being. I’m absolutely not comparing myself to Martin Luther King (or even Whoopi Goldberg!!!) Having a black woman on the bridge in the 60s was probably the bravest political statement Trek ever made. But I hope Terri knows how inspirational it was for young women like me to see (to paraphrase MLK) that “two of us had made it,” even if Kira & Dax only rarely got paired up like this. I don’t expect Terri reads these comments but I’d love to think that someone could pass on my thanks.

Thank you all for another fantastic episode of Delta Flyers!❤️

My random thoughts: - When I first watched this episode, I couldn't get past the stupid-looking skin flaps during the operation; the podcast discussion about it made me realize that perhaps the Trill body is different from humans and they come with a built-in pouch (that is usually not visible) - so thank you for helping me move on from that hang-up! - Tim Russ was so great! Loved his version of Klingon - The podcast talk about everyone on the station leaving, returning, leaving again made me think "Keiko must be so mad right about now" - Me in unison with Garrett - "Never give up, never surrender!"

This has nothing to do g to do with the episode, but I would like to thank Armin for all of his hard work with pancan.org. A friend’s husband was just diagnosed, and I was glad I could point them to the foundation (and support the Trek Team myself).

Yes, Quark has a character development story arc.

Talking about Jadzia not remembering Verad too much...my head cannon says there is a "download" period to the symbiont from the host. Once done, that is the point of no return and they can't be separated. That is why they could take Dax and not harm Verad.

Tim Russ was terrific in this episode!

Can believe I missed Tuvok 🤦 (puppy picture to threads please?)
