That is a cool.site. Thanks for the link. I had always thought the ply!ons were for docking. I want to think I've seen ships attached to them in long shots, maybe even the Enterprise. The station is supposed to be huge. It wouldn't make sense for the pylons to be habitat. They are too exposed in case of attack.

2024-04-11 01:16:21 +0000 UTCI'm not a fan of the episode, it just didn't feel like anything mattered. However, I viewed the aliens more like TOS god-level aliens/Q-like. They can use people's imagination but also manipulate matter and space. They've got a few tricks in their arsenal. The Buck Alien may not have even known the Rumpy alien interfered! I think Rumpy was more of a 'Klingon' and Buck was more the 'Vulcan' of the group. Different personalities doing different things.

2024-03-23 03:25:24 +0000 UTCAs the question came up what the pylons are and where the promenade is etc. - This blueprint created by Rick Sternbach should be helpful in understanding what is what on DS9: https://cygnus-x1.net/links/lcars/blueprints/deep-space-nine-concept-sheet-1.jpg

2024-03-22 16:31:59 +0000 UTCEmus can be so vicious, Australia fought a war against them and actually lost. I still love that fact!

2024-03-21 22:00:36 +0000 UTCI’m so glad Colm Meany was able to argue against having a leprechaun character. His standing with the producers had obviously gone up since Miles had to beam over the awful comedy Irish group in TNG’s season 2!

2024-03-20 17:34:50 +0000 UTCI thought “muffin tops” was the expression for one’s waist if your trousers/pants were too tight.

2024-03-19 19:51:37 +0000 UTCMiles and Keiko O’Brien were introduced by Data on the Enterprise and were married on the Enterprise in Tenforward.

2024-03-19 11:00:26 +0000 UTCThe whole episode is comedy! Duh!!!

2024-03-19 10:49:01 +0000 UTCThis episode reminds me of the episode in TNG with the Traveller where people’s imaginations helped them to travel to the other side of the galaxy, and the episode of Voyager with the telepathic pitcher plant.

2024-03-19 03:14:08 +0000 UTCHere’s my thought (more inconsistencies for Robbie) : buck was Jake’s not Benjamin’s imaginary friend. Dax is also unaffected by this phenomenon. Why?
Jennifer Colton-Fowler
2024-03-18 22:57:40 +0000 UTCI 100% agree with Robbie that there was a ton of inconsistency with the rules of the episode however like Terry said it was the ride that made the episode. I also with Robbie that Terry was the highlight of this episode.

2024-03-18 19:20:30 +0000 UTCA triathlon is a race with three sports (typically swim/bike/run) and can be various distances from sprint to Ironman. A Century is a 100-mile bike ride and doesn't have to be a race. Either is an excellent accomplishment.

2024-03-18 17:41:46 +0000 UTCI agree with Kira - "None of this makes any sense" (my rating is lower than all y'all's) - but to each their own!

2024-03-18 17:39:34 +0000 UTCOMG! Both the muffin tops and the healthy frozen yogurt were addressed in Seinfeld episodes! 🤣

2024-03-18 17:24:01 +0000 UTCI love that Star Trek keeps the consistency going!

2024-03-18 09:05:31 +0000 UTCSo… the pylons are used for docking large ships, ops is the little hub up top with the antennas popping up out of the promenade. You can see the promenade windows, going all the way around - as well as the ops view screen on the ops nub. The inner ring is the habitat ring, quarters and such, while the outer ring is the docking ring, for storage and docking etc. So there you go. Geekiest thing I’ve written this year
