You Should Probably Read Chapter 14 first

Done? Good. Dierdre is dead, long live Dierdre.

Dierdre has been killed, but as a fey her soul will pass into the first world and become a different fey very, very quickly. Through a quirk of fate, largely enabled by being a follower, she will retain a disproportionate amount of her memories and personality when this happens. What will she be when Emrys summons her again? Different forms may tinge her personality, but won’t override it, and this is reasonably likely to happen again.

Calpina: fey bug girls that typically eat people without a care in the world, actively draining the personality out of their victims in the form of charisma damage. It will be hard on Dierdre to still have so much empathy, given that her instincts will actively push for her to consume living, charismatic, and intelligent meat.

Anhana: Gardeners of the deep forests, with a mandate to cultivate wild nature and adjust the ecosystem through interventions large and small. Has the appearance of a halfling woman with dark violet eyes and a set of huge garden shears, and a set of spells mostly oriented around non-lethally subduing those causing mischief or disrupting the ecosystem.

Domovoi: One of the few options that keeps her at around the same size. House spirits use their strong utility magic to anonymously help out around the house and tend to be benevolent unless offended. Usually Domovoi are little old bearded men, but Dierdre would instead be a miniature granny.

Forlarren: The rapidly aging offspring of Nymphs who have mated with fiends (usually with dubious consent at best). Most Forlarren have severe mood swings and a complex about how ugly they are compared to their mothers, which almost inevitably lead to them murdering their only good aligned family. Good news! Dierdre would be unusually stable for a Forlarren thanks to her grounding in a past life, leaving a scrappy human-sized girl with skin that can shrug off bullets and claws that can rend flesh.

Leprechauns: Hedonistic little thieves and tricksters with magic that backs up that way of operating, focused on illusions that get a bonus if used primarily to fuck with people. Dierdre is likely to be of the Filcher variant, armed with a bow and more interested in theft. Another usually-male type of fey that she would buck the trend for.

Pixie: by a long shot the option closest to what we know her as thus far, with wings, a tiny body, and weapons. Armed with a bow full of enchanted arrows that can make someone friendly, sleepy, or forgetful, pixies have some utility. Also, very notable, pixies are perpetually invisible unless they want to show themselves. She won’t be as perfect a spy as that implies due to the very item that got her killed this time, but should be able to get away from most situations even if detected thanks to fairly beefy defenses.

Skin Stealer: The average skin stealer is a serial killer who magically rips the skin off of their victims and wears it as a supernaturally perfect disguise. A skin stealer can keep a few skins perfectly preserved, so there’s no real need to kill a random person every few days in order to commit identity theft. They mostly just like doing it. Dierdre would retain enough of her sense of honor and morals that she’d avoid killing people just to take their skin, but enemies and anyone already dead is fair game. Outside of infiltration, she’d have essentially the stats of a low level charismatic rogue.
