Crits hurt! Emrys isn’t very sturdy, but it’s worth noting that crit only downed him. It would have needed to do almost twice as much damage in order to kill him outright; as long as Syl, Sandara, Conchobar, or anyone with a healing potion is nearby getting downed isn’t that big a deal. Assuming he’s not in an inherently dangerous situation like underwater or swarmed by ghouls. Just as a couple of random probably irrelevant examples.
