October’s Poll Results and Objectives
Added 2023-10-02 17:43:12 +0000 UTCFirst of all, I would like to thank you all for your patience as I continue to struggle with regaining what should be my regular writing pace. Said struggle would be a lot easier if things that I envision as easy, lighthearted diversions would stay that way when I sit down to write them.
Which means that, yes, the Tales series has done precisely what it always does, and the uncomplicated tale of a prideful elf being forced to confront her nature as an erofu now features a treacherous plot of noble intrigue and a horse’s lineage.
The horse may, or not, be involved in the plot. We all know not to trust the side-eyed bastards.
So, yeah, the next Tales is being written. After it’s done, hopefully before the weekend, it will be Kazuma’s turn to mess up my plans, and then I’ll try to get to Toni Stark.
But you all have voted for me to try and make Halloween a little extra spicy this year, which means that I’ll go ahead with my plans regarding a Periodical Cicadas double feature, the next Not!Ginosko project, and, if I have the time for it, an extra surprise. This would mean that the end of the month will be extra-loaded as I try to hold back on my urge to immediately post things as soon as they’re finished, so let’s see how poorly I manage my addiction to positive feedback.
On a positive note, I’ve mostly managed to go back to a regular schedule with Wake-up Call (which I may delay to Wednesday this week and the next one, depending on my mother’s surgeries, but that’s something I’m willing to forgive myself for), and All Right! Fine! I Will Take You! has been, while often relegated to Friday, at least regularly updated and brought up to not suicidal levels of angst.
(Yeah, I will have to write a long postmortem after I’m done with these two series.)
Sooo… I need to get better at managing things (I know, such a novel concept) and maybe take into consideration having an actual backlog in place when I start the next project. Other than that, I think September went better than August, and I will do my best so that October tops both.
Now I’m off to act as an unlicensed nurse. See you tomorrow if everything goes well!

Thanks; I objectively agree, but I can't help but free when I don't live up to my own expectations (which i often enough).
