Announcement: The future of Self Insert of the Dead

So… I’m dreadfully sorry to do this to all of you guys, but I’ve talked with Leekz01, and this story just isn’t turning out to be what he was looking for. I’m a bit bummed out, because we were just getting to the martial arts parts that I’d been refreshing my knowledge of, but, well, he’s been paying me about $100 per month to keep the story going and it is a large enough sum that doing it for anything but the absolute, peak sense of satisfaction just isn’t worth it.

So, what does this mean?

Plenty of things. I hate leaving stories unfinished, but, at the same time, I’m not going to continue a commission just for the sake of it. That seems like one of those poor life choices I’m frequently chastised about.

So, I think I can come up with somewhat of a compromise.

One of this Patreon’s benefits for the €5 and up tiers is to vote to add either 3k to an ongoing commission or a full chapter for one of my stories. If this story wins that poll (that I'll be posting right now) then I’ll write a full chapter of fitting length during July, after doing a mild rewrite so it more closely resembles my original vision for the story, with the SI not being Lee and having a character that will contrast a bit more with Takashi’s own shounen tendencies (this will let me cut loose with all the snark and self-deprecating humor some of you know me for and that I was a bit hesitant to fully go into with a character belonging to someone else). The original chapters will be preserved, and I’ll summarize all the changes.

Or, well, that’s what I’ve first come up with. I’ll likely do another poll to see what would be more fitting, but that’s my current idea.

Also, of course, somebody else could commission me to continue. That’s also an option. But the point is that the fic is no longer guaranteed 10k words per month. Sorry to disappoint all of you who have stuck out with me this far.
