June 13th to 19th Schedule

So…

I fucked up.

One of my most unpleasant traits, and one that I’d hoped to spare all of you from, is that, when I feel down, I’ve got a certain tendency to look for ways for the world to “punish” me. It’s not a masochistic thing, just… feeling like I don’t deserve good things and making sure I don’t get them. I will retract from social interaction, purposefully say the wrong thing, delay on my projects, do things at the very last minute after losing hours and hours of sleep while trying to psyche myself up to do them… that kinda thing.

At the start of the month, I was a bit burned out and overpromised on what I would deliver. I didn’t meet my expectations, which made me feel guilty, which made me procrastinate on things as I kept overthinking them, and… well, last week happened.

Really, I apologize. I thought I’d gotten better at managing this, but I still have a ways to go.

Anyway, what this all means is that not only did I delay on releasing basically everything last week, but that I also forgot I had to include Yui’s Lily Garden on the schedule, which meant I had an extra chapter to fit in there. To make matters worse, both Yui’s chapter and Haruno’s own were extremely frustrating to write (I kept stopping and looking at them, rereading to make sure I had the flow right, doubting my grasp on the characters…) so both Ginosko and Tangled Regrets were, once again, pushed to the next week.

Really, I’m sorry you’ve had to put up with my mess. I think I’m over it, and this week should be one of the good ones, but I certainly won’t promise anything that could further hurt my track record.

That being said, let’s see how I manage to mess up this time around with my (utterly tentative) schedule:

- Tuesday: Wake-up Call and Self Insert of the Dead (this one is halfway done right now, so this isn’t as ambitious as it sounds).

- Wednesday: Tangled Regrets. I keep delaying on this one, waiting for the moment when I’m sure the idea for the ending is perfect. That is a very bad thing to do, so I’ll just… do my best. Perfect is the enemy of good, and all that.

- Thursday: All Right! Fine! I’ll Take You!

- Friday: This will be a new one. Mister Bad Guy, the same person who commissioned my Oriko Magica story, has been patiently waiting for me to write this since months ago. “This” refers to a monstergirl PMMM story with plenty of comedic rough sex. Think about the sillier parts of my Konosuba fic, and multiply that by the inherent lewdness of everything monstergirl. I hope you’ll enjoy it (and not get fatal mood whiplash after the end of Tangled Regrets).

- Saturday: I promised I wouldn’t flee from my RPG friends, so I really, really should do everything I plan to do on time, because they’re growing increasingly frustrated at my frequent absence.

- Sunday: Ginosko. This time, for real. The damn chapter has been sitting half-done for far too long.
