(preview) eating at the table animation override

there are two animation styles based on the sim's gender. you can switch between them using my other mod! you can also set the default ea animation style for individual sims if you prefer that.

the override applies only if:
the sim is teen to elder;
the sim is eating at a dining, picnic or desk table;
the food is not handheld like ice cream cones or lollipops.
this override is much simpler than the default eating animations, i've only included:
basic eating;
eating spoiled or poor food;
sad mood eating;
and several idle variations.
originally, i wanted to redo way more animations, but i was surprised by how many different eating behaviors exist in the game. i also wanted to keep the special glutton trait eating, but it turned out to be too complex for me to implement.
i tested this mod thoroughly, but there’s a huge variety of food in the sims, so issues may still appear. please be ready to re-download if updates are needed!

2025-08-23 03:09:21 +0000 UTCI can't believe how amazing your mods are, your saving the game, please in the future could you do a cooking Animation Overhaul to make it as detailed as The Sims 2, also more autonomous new Animations for personality traits which the game currently lacks, finally just bring back all the small little details from The Sims 2 and 3 into The Sims 4.

I've been watching Sims 2 vs Sims 3 vs Sims 4 videos a lot recently and tbh I think you maybe be the only sims mod creator that can possibly do this? But is it possible to create an override for eating pizza? Like to pick up a slice of pizza instead of on a plate??? Or is that like really hard to do?

I would LOVE an animation for when my Sims sit on the couch, an armchair or more specifically I'm thinking outside on the patio furniture and have a drink. I absolutely love how the basemental smoke animation makes my sims look so fancy and kinda edgy. I would love somethink like that for when they have a glas of champagne (or theoretically any drink) while crossing their legs and being all well ... smug (?) about it xD Bonus points for the interaction to be optional. Like the listen calmly and listen sad or whatever it is for music which ... I think is also one of your mods. Yeah. Anyway. Thought asking doesn't hurt :D
