invisible high chairs or how infants and toddlers can sit anywhere
Added 2024-09-07 02:17:57 +0000 UTCI made seven invisible high chairs so infants and toddlers can sit on different things around the house.
there are seating areas on:
the bed
the table
a sofa
a bedside table
a dresser
a coffee table
a kitchen counter or bar table
(some items, like the dresser and bedside table, have different heights, so the seat does not fit all items. I used the average size as a basis for the invisible chair)
you will find invisible high chairs in the "kids' furniture" and "living chair" sections.
the seating area looks like a small sticker that you place on the surface of the object. to do this, use the cheat code "bb.moveobjects".

i only changed the coordinates of the sims, i did not change the animations themselves (I tried but it didn't work). so the animations for getting on and off the invisible chair look a little weird. here's the worst example:
the seats also work with the "high chair lock" mod by pandasama. it’s a cool mod that prevents sims from independently releasing toddlers and infants from the high chair.

thank you for letting me know! i also saw better exceptions flag this mod as broken at first, but i had other outdated mods in my folder then, like mccc and ui cheats. after i updated them and relaunched, better exceptions stopped flagging this mod. i tested in the game and it seemed fine. can you try a new save with only this mod and better exceptions to check if it still happens? if you can share the error, that will help me find the cause

I hope this isn't a huge ask but I was wondering if it was possible that toddlers and infants could be placed the same way they are placed on high chairs, like instead of facing your sim they would be facing the table, so you could have them "sit" next to other sims on picnic tables for example. Also, sorry if you've already tried this and it didn't work, but an adittional invisible chair for lounge chairs would be lovely, since toddlers can't even sit on them lol

2025-05-09 13:29:23 +0000 UTCHi, sometimes i get LE report for "put_down_sim" interaction. It happens when the toddler suddenly teleported out of these highchairs. It doesnt break game or anything. It only happens occasionally but I'm not sure what triggers it.

2025-01-14 09:22:32 +0000 UTCoh, i tried to do the same thing!! i also tried shifting the slots to the side, but in the end, pets couldn’t jump onto the bed. i even tried to make a mod for sleeping with pets similar to the "pamper pet on bed" interaction, but for some reason, the action refused to work. i feel like this might require knowledge of script files, and so far, i’ve only figured out how to work with sims 4 studio (and not even completely yet...). i really hope to create a sleeping interaction with pets someday – i’d love that too! 💞

2025-01-13 22:47:50 +0000 UTCI just love all your mods!!! thanks for your hard work I wanted to know if it is possible to make a similar mod, but for pets, so that dogs can sleep with their owners in the bed. i have no idea why the ea added this feature only for cats, because dogs also in life sleep in bed! i tried to do this by raising the slots at the pet bed so that the dog was at the level of the bed. but if you put it under the bed, then neither the sim nor the pet can interact :( i think you have more experience, maybe you will try to do such a thing?
