I managed to make reading override 2.0, with different poses for different genders and places. also, all the bugs from previous overrides have been fixed, no one will fall into a bar stool anymore and sims will be able to read on a rocking chair with normal animation, etc.

2025-04-05 15:31:55 +0000 UTCthank you so much for your kind words and for letting me know about the issue! i just tested the interaction in my own game and didn’t experience the problem, but i do have two ideas for what might be causing it: 1. you might be using an older version of the override — one that didn’t yet change the child animation. (a version with that terrible bug was accidentally up on my patreon for the first two or three days after release.) 2. it’s possible you’re using a mod that expands business functionality? in my game, children only show up with an adult, and when that happens they use the proper child animation. but maybe your mod allows children to come alone, and that could be why the animation breaks. please try re-downloading the file and updating it in your mods folder. if you have the time or energy, i’d really appreciate it if you could let me know whether the bug is still there after the update — especially when children arrive with an adult. either way, i’m really sorry you had to deal with this. that sounds like such an unpleasant experience, and i hate the thought of my mods causing weird glitches with sims people love 💔

I love your animations so much, they breathe new life into my game, i just wanted to run something by you in relation to this mod because it was definitely a... spooky surprise. I was playing with the newest EP, in which I was able to assign customers activities to read books. Well, when children sat down and read books, their skeletons stretch and deform while they play these reading animations. I downloaded the Life and Death fix to be sure, cause I own the pack, and the stretching of children still occurs. I have some screenshots I took in case you'd need them. But I do love your animations and I can't play my game without them, keep up the great work! ♥

2024-12-20 11:37:56 +0000 UTCthank you for bringing this up! i’ll take a closer look at ea’s policy. at the time this mod was released, i noticed this approach with exclusive add-ons being used by many other mod creators and thought it was a nice way to thank my patrons. however, i’ve since rethought my decision about offering exclusive extended versions of mods. starting with this mod, i haven’t done that anymore. i’ll update this mod again when i have time and release a single unified version for everyone.

However, I was wondering if keeping a "special" version of this mod only for paying patrons is allowed by EA. Mods can’t be sold, licensed, or rented for a fee, nor can Mods contain features that would support monetary transactions of any type." and "We recognize that creating Mods takes time and resources. To offset these development costs, Mod developers may: offer an early access incentive for a reasonable amount of time. 2024-11-20 17:41:16 +0000 UTCi just checked this issue on my end, and I’m not seeing the same problem. сould you please confirm if you have downloaded the latest version of the mod? initially, there was an issue like this with children, but it should have been fixed in the recent updates. if the problem persists, could you provide more details? was the child sitting at a table (if so, was it a dining table, a bar, or another type?), or were they just on a chair without a table? If it's a chair, was it a dining chair or a living chair? this information will help me a lot diagnose and fix the issue more effectively 🧡
