四肢麻痺さんの記録⑨病室の外へ

間木さんが数か月ぶりに、病室の外に出る日がやってきた。リハビリの為に少し出るだけだが、四肢麻痺の彼女にはたくさんの準備が必要だ。看護師さん数人で車椅子に移され、色々な医療器具につながれて、やっとの事で廊下に出る。

首から両腕、足の先まで、全てをギプスで包まれた身体は、病室の外ではとても目立つ。

ギプスだけじゃない。固定されてゆるく開脚した股からはおむつが覗き、尿バックへと繋がる管が丸見えになってしまっている。

そして、気管切開された喉から伸びる大仰な呼吸器。

彼女が重篤な障害を負っているのは、目に見えて分かる事だった。

あの子どうしたのかしら…？

あんな大怪我して可哀想に…。

きっと、治らないでしょうね…。

他の人の、うわさする声がひそひそと聞こえる。

間木さんは少し恥ずかしそう。一体なにを考えているんだろう…？

The day has come for Ms. Magi to leave the hospital room for the first time in several months. She's only out for a short period of rehab, but she's a quadriplegic and needs a lot of preparation. After being moved to a wheelchair by several nurses and connected to various medical devices, she finally made it out into the hallway.

His body, wrapped in a cast from his neck to his arms and legs, stands out outside the hospital room.

Not just a cast. The diaper is peeking through the crotch that is fixed and loosely spread, and the tube leading to the urine bag is completely exposed.

And an exaggerated respirator extending from a tracheotomized throat.

It was obvious that she was seriously disabled.

I wonder what happened to that kid...?

It's pathetic...

I'm sure it won't work...

Other people's voices can be heard whispering.

Magi looks a little embarrassed. What the hell are you thinking...?
