四肢麻痺さんの記録⑧

今日も寝たきりの間木さん。首のギプスが少しだけ短くなったので、リハビリとして車椅子に乗ってみようという事になった。

寝たきりでも乗れる、ストレッチャー型の車椅子。ギプスに固められた身体が落ちないように、太いベルトで固定する。

気管切開の管も動かして、移動式の人口呼吸器に繋げる。全身が麻痺していて、身体の感覚はないけれど、久々に動くとやっぱり辛いみたい。

息が苦しいのだろうか？けほけほと小さく咳をして、半開きの口から小さく涎が垂れている。涎も痰も自分で取れないから、周りの人が拭いてあげなきゃ。

もう少しだけ回復したら、病室の外に出てみよう。

It must be hard to breathe. She coughed a little and drooled a little from her half-open mouth. I can't get rid of saliva or phlegm by myself, so people around me have to wipe it off.

Let's go out of the hospital room after recovering a little more.
