Audio Download - Rain Notes in Fall

The past few days, I have been enjoying this Max for Live plugin called "Augmented Percussion". If you follow my Instagram, that is what I used for the knife synth sounds and also how I made the rain notes as seen in this video here.

If you aren't familiar, Max for Live is sort of like an open-source playground for people to build all sorts of audio plugins for Ableton. Unfortunately, M4L is only available in the most expensive version of Ableton, but it really is worth it. There are a lot of great devices that people have made, including the one I'm using here.

It takes incoming audio (like rain on a tin pan), and turns transients (louder percussive spikes) into midi signals. If you have played with MIDI, you know this opens up a galaxy of opportunities.

I have only scratched the surface.

There are a lot of different settings for note control, and you then route the device to any midi instrument you want. In this case I'm using a device called "2-op Perc" that comes with the download of the Augmented Percussion device.

Attached below is the 5 minute track I recorded as rain fell onto a metal cooking sheet with a piezo mic attached.

After spending some time setting up live sound processing on 3 separate tracks, I just let it go and zoned out. Please feel free to do the same.

Thanks again for being patrons.
