Trivia bits: The preamble was repeated for EP2 because the source manga was moved from one magazine to another early in the run. The mangaka had to repeat the setup for the story in the new magazine for the new readers and the adaptation is making an inside joke about it. Culture note: Valentines is different in Japan. On V-day girls give chocolate to boys. It can be Obligation, for male friends or a someone who has done favors for the girl that she wants to acknowledge, (usually store bought or simple) or Love chocolate (hand made or fancy) which is an indirect confession. The men are supposed to return the gesture on White Day, March 14.
