A WORD WITH WEBB: AUGUST 2024

Howdy folks! Summer is just flyin' by ain't it? Hope everyone is enjoying theirs! Hey, by the way, I got some updates for ya!

WHAT'S WEBB UP TO?

Truthfully, life has gotten in the way this summer! Not in a bad way though, just a lot of personal obligations that have required me to step away from my art for a bit. I'm back in the swing of things now though! Aiming to be more consistent. I'm currently working on a new short, though there's still a lot left to do and I'm not sure when it'll be ready. To hold you over, take a look at some of these backgrounds!

I've also been getting into the rhythm of working on a weekly comic again! At the moment, I've been dabbling in two different series, So It Goes: Webb Comics, essentially the comic form of the semi-auto bio animated shorts I've been making, and Varmint District, a fictional series about three critters living in a run-down New York City, sometime in the distant future.

I think the ability to alternate between these series freely will give me some levity while remaining disciplined about my writing and drawing. You can check out all that I've already written for both in the collections tab! I'd love to know what ya think so far.

After experimenting a little with the tiers, I've realized that 3 tiers are too much for my current output. That being said, I've decided to consolidate the 3 tiers into 2! Ain't that nice and streamlined? So moving forward, I think the easiest and most considerate way to make this change will be to transition the $5 FAITHFUL LITTLE FREAKS Tier into the $3 WEBB-HEAD Tier and to delete the current $2 ESTEEMED SUPPORTER OF GOOFS Tier. To those of you on the soon-to-be-deleted $2 Tier, thank you so much for your support!! If you'd like to continue supporting me and keep some of perks you've been getting, I'll just ask that you consider pledging to the new $3 WEBB-HEAD Tier, only one more dollar a month than you had been paying! Can't pay the $3 a month? No worries! I'm so thankful for the paid support you've already given me and you can also continue to do so just by watching, reading, and sharing my work!

Lastly, this is the last free Word with Webb! As you may have already noticed from the new tier plan, future Word with Webb Progress reports will be moved to the $3 WEBB-HEAD Tier. As a result, I should be able to give supporters more consistent and meaningful updates, with behind-the-scenes of my process and sneak peeks of what's to come.
