In Finite Space - Production update

Hello all.

I wanted to make a post to let you know how we're doing overall with the VN and going forward.

Most/some of you by now will have read the Build 3, and although there are some assets we are still working on, its been received really well and I'm so thankful.

Now however to the proper news.
We are going to be slowing production down now leading towards Build 4, and beyond.

I admit most of this is on me. I got into my head that I needed to keep the turnaround of chapters fast and short, having seen how some VN's can flounder and stagnate for months and months in productions hell. I thought I had to maintain a fast pace to keep folks interests.

However this is starting to burn us out. It's putting unfair pressure on the team to get assets in too fast, and on the renpy team to slam everything together in an unrealistic timeframe (which they managed bless them so much).

It also is putting a lot of financial drain on myself. I am a firm believer that each and every sprite/bg/track is so worth it, but I am bleeding funds to the point its crippling my month-to-month living expenses.

So starting now and moving forward we will take longer to make the Builds and bring them to you at the standard and quality you all deserve.

I wanted to make sure you all are aware of this, one of my sticking points when I started the VN was to be as transparent and communicative as I could to everyone in regards to how we were getting on.

Now for some good news though. Build 4 is going to be a biggie, we have lots to cram in and it'll be well worth the wait I can guarantee it. I'll be sharing assets with you all as we get them and show you what we are working on.

Also after Build 3 goes public we will be organising a Q&A with myself and Azzylion, our editor, to answer some questions (that we can without spoilers) about the story so far. I'll be making sure Patreon Questions are collected and prioritised to be answered closer to the time, so please look out for that.
