Dogs real name is Seven! He’s a professional dog actor who is very well trained and his owner/handler was on set all the time. These extra eps were done after they had finished the season already. They hadn’t originally written these episodes when they wrote season 10, however Angela Kang and the other crew said it was done as a thank you for fans for sticking through with Covid and what was going to be an extended break between season 10 and 11 because of it. This episode, Diverged, was written strictly to show the crack in Daryl and Carols bond. They are essentially off kilter without each other.
