Enjoying these reactions in 2025! I always thought that the reason (or one of the main ones, at least) that Carol started to have so much guilt & feel so awful about killing was because of Morgan & what he'd say to her. He'd say things like "you don't HAVE to kill, Carol" or "you don't want to", "there's another way", "you don't like it, I know you don't like it", etc. & I think it just wore her down & made her feel very sick & guilty over doing it. When she always did it for the right reasons. & her hesitation to want to do it now leaves her weak, & wanting to isolate herself from the places & ppl she loves.... & Morgan? I respect his philosophy & I think he hangs onto it so hard because he knows how far off the deep end he can go in the other direction. but you can't be like that in this stage of the New World. His beliefs put other ppl, good ppl at risk & he's seen his choice to not kill put ppl in danger many times. Hell I think if Eastman had lived & made it here he'd have even ended up loosening up his 'no kill' rules. Also, side note: it's crazy & a bit burdensome to the ppl who provide food in this world for you to try to remain a vegetarian lol. In this world, you eat what's available, including what is hunted or fished, etc & you are grateful for it as many ppl out there likely don't have enough food to eat everyday. Yet ppl have to worry about making sure they have types of food you can eat because you are being pickier than everyone else. If all they got was a hunted deer, they'd have to worry about finding something else for you because of your idealogy. That stuff can't be that way in this world, it's a rude way to live. Just my opinion lol.
