Iām very mixed on my opinions of season 2 as well. The worst part for me is I find the writing to be lacking, they seem to be really spoon feeding exposition and treating the audience as dumb at times. But, maybe Iām being too harsh because I just finished Severance and am currently watching Andor and the difference in quality of writing between those two shows and tlou is jarring to me lol

The hate on her braid is some funny af though šš I think it's clear that abby has a line and it stopped with Joel. Can't wait to see what yall think next episode though, looks nuts based on the preview šš

2025-04-30 21:10:36 +0000 UTCDamn Molly you shouldve worn your Pedro shirt to honour Joels passing ahahaha It's hard to not compare characters and the story to the game if you've played it, it's only natural and no one can help themselves. Personally the events leading up to Ellie and Dina leaving Jackson, along with their relationship, was way better in the game in my opinion. But it's refreshing to see the story told a bit differently, so long as major events stay true to the source material, which the showrunners have done a great job so far

2025-04-30 21:09:12 +0000 UTCI can't lie, I've been mixed on season 2 so far. I don't hate it, I don't think it's awful at all. But i'm not loving it either lol. I know I am biased from playing the game first which definitely has it's flaws, but I also see small flaws in this season so far. I feel like I could take bits and pieces from both the game and show and combine them together for a perfect story. I do like this episode that it's slower and slightly a "filler" episode. It gives people a slight mourning period where that we don't get that in the game. I also am not totally sold on Bella Ramsey still, I don't think she's a bad actress at all AND I don't think it's totally her fault either, I don't like the writing of the character more so (I don't know how much she got to include in her character) but just not totally sold vs. Ashley Johnson voice acting, motion capture and in-game physicality. Also in-case you didn't know, they are breaking up Part 2 game into two seasons. So for audiences who haven't played the game, will have to wait another 6 months - year before they get the conclusion to the second game.
