Yeah misunderstanding totally, I don't know if yall are reading different subtitles, but Askeladd said, "The more charmed you are by a man" This can mean Askeladd was pleased or attracted by Thors, Yes in some cases it can be in a romantic sense, but not always. You can be charmed by a persons views and values, in their self expression, leadership capabilities,etc.

Anyways, the rune for his name inspired the Bluetooth logo. Also, on the point of Askeladd's conversation with Gratianus about Canute, I think you guys missed the second half of the sentence. "The more you fall for a man, the less things go how you want". I think the point is something like 'don't blindly follow charismatic leaders'. I'm sure you caught that while editing. And I think there's a lot that can be inferred from this conversation about what Askeladd sees in Canute. But, seeing as my perspective is also colored by me having seen the show, I'll restrain myself. Good reaction. Cheers

Also the priest wasn’t talking about romance he was just talking about love in general and I think he meant the love of God like one of you mentioned. In Viking culture too they don’t really speak much on morality in terms of how we learn about our soul and love and empathy. If I am mistaken someone please correct me.
