Just adding my very short two bits to say that this is how I found your patreon. For me, seeing this sort of a reaction is a pretty good litmus test for whether the reviewer will tackle shows on their own merits. (I've seen some watchers far more skeptical than yourself, for example, come out the other side changed by the experience). You seem positive and on board to lean into the characters and story, and that just makes long term fans like me smile. It should be a fun ride! Pony on, friend. /)

I originally made two Ponies as I felt at the time it would be easier to represent different aspects of my personality, but then one just stuck out as my main ‘ponysona’ as people tend to call them. The first one was a black alicorn with orange & yellow fiery mane & tail and her name was Black Fire, her cutie mark is a green shield with a dragon on it and each side of the shield is a wing like pattern. As for my main pony, she is a white pegasus with blue and turquoise main & tail with a red and white stripe, their name I ended up using my main username "Untitled Spy" or "Spy" for short and her cutie mark used to be a cheshire cat eyes and grin, but I changed it to water, leaf and a phoenix feather splayed out together (she has skills with stealth, nature & mysterious, mythical and rare creatures).

2023-11-22 12:03:40 +0000 UTCI was gonna give ya some info and tell ya bit of the show but Seraphem pretty much gave ya all the info ya needed thank you for that Seraphem. as for fan names I myself go by Arc or Arc Cahlon its not a pony name per say more of a pokemon one that I've used over the years (also have gone by grave digga for my love of diggin holes and goofy cuz I am a total goof ball) as for my pony OC he's a earth pony cuz just a plain old fart and his cutie mark is a blank flank (got it when he learned to help other do what they wanted for their cutie mark. also good choice on princesses luna is my fave too because I love the night nothing more beautiful then the stars and the night sky. ohhh ohh and another thing you saw the elements of harmoy which are very importain the brony community has 2 of its own as well that are great to abide by, love and tolerance.

So yeah, this premier is way better then anyone thought it would have any right to be, with a lot of people watching it due to some very negative pre-release press... mostly two articles that are kind of hilarious in how wrong they were with how much they tore into how bad this show was... making people on 4-Chan go "Either there is no WAY this is as bad as they are saying, and we get to mock these idiots for being wrong, or it IS that bad and we get to have fun mocking this horrible show!" So they tried it and.... realized that no.. it was legit good, and thus were the first Bronies created. So, commentary reply time and just general fandom lore and trivia time! Mostly just go in order of when it came up during the video... First off, yes, the nation is called Equestria, though there is debate over just how large the term encompasses, just the nation? the whole continent? Or the entire world as well? General fan consensus is it is only the nation, possibly the continent, but the more common name for the planet as a whole is Equus. The opening is pretty good, though it gets memed on for being off compared to the other music in the show.. also remind us when you get done with Season 1 to link you to the full version of the theme, (The video with it includes clips from throughout season 1) Are there queens? Well not spoiling if any do show up, but the reason Celestia and Luna are princesses instead of queens is executive meddling. Lauren wanted them to be queens, and they are queens in all but title, but Hasbro execs declared that thanks to Disney, little girls see queens as old, ugly, evil things that they don't want to buy toys of, while Princesses are what move merchandise. (Speaking of merchandise screwing over the Sisters, "Pinklestia") For the OC's, yeah most Bronies have Ponysona's, or some other creature from the world,for you.... not really an artist, but I'm seeing either an Earth Pony of Pegasus, darker color scheme and some sort of moon/star reference to the Cutie Mark as an appreciator of the Princess of the Night. "Twilight Sparkle" All Lauren would say about the name and it's relationship to a certain other "Twilight" that may or may not include sparkling is "It passed legal" Speaking of names, yes our main town is Ponyville, though again, executive meddling, Lauren wanted to call it Fillydelphia, but got shot down. AJ popularity? Overall, she probably comes in lowest of the Mane 6 in terms of popularity, but has her fans. Though oddly enough among new viewers, it's Rarity that gets the most disinterest, which changes drastically as the show goes on and we see more of her character. Rd did, in fact, clear the skies in exactly 10 seconds flat. Then we get to the party and two of the most important things that can be brought up are brought into focus. First... DERPY! This scene is the birth of The Muffin Mare, The Best Pony, The Wall Eyed Goddess of Derpiness, She Who Sees All, Derpy Hooves! In the background there is a single grey pegasus with a blond mane with 'derped' eyes who is only there because of an animation glitch, but instantly got latched onto by the fandom and pretty much eventually became the fandom mascot, with the show runner putting her in the show more and more as easter eggs for us. We will be talking much of The Wall-Eyed One. The second important note... Pinkie Pie! Right now, before you even try, there is something you MUST understand for the sake of you own sanity, a phrase that is vital for surviving encounters with The Pink One. "It's Pinkie Pie. Don't question it." The Pink One, near as we can tell, is some eldritch being taken Pony form, to delve her mysteries is to invite madness. Okay, lets move this along, yes that is the mayor, and her name is, Mayor Mare. Love the small touches of skill that make the show stand out even now with how well they animate and scene set, like using the vertigo zoom on Twilight during NMM's reveal. Speaking of names, the sea serpent's name is Steven Magnet, you can thank YouTube auto caption for that one. Then we get to the end and.... that speech from Twilight never fails to get me. This right here is the heart of what makes this show so GOOD. Yeah the morals and lessons it teaches are things you hear all the time, it's a show about friendship and rainbows.... but what makes it work is just how sincere the show is about it. At all times, it's clear, the characters and the show staff really do believe everything they are saying and are doing this sincerely and it makes it feel so good. Then we get BEST PRINCESS! Sadly... do not expect much Luna in season 1.... see again, executive meddling, but she will return eventually and it shall be GLORIOUS! Luna is easily the most popular Pony in the show other then potentially Twilight herself for good reason. Then we get the ending ending and, fun note, the music and general vibe and scene composition for that ending welcome back party is an homage to the parade scene at the end of Star Wars episode 1. Welcome to the show, enjoy this amazing, wholesome, touching, emotional ride!

It has the watch order for all of MLP G4, with optional bonus vids to watch in the interim (like the special minisodes for the movies) and a few other things. Namely, it'll help you in the second arc of the show from seasons 4 to 7. It's rare, but there are times a movie make be referenced in the main story, or a movie's stakes are raised by the events of an episode. So it's good to have so you don't get lost. Probably best I drop it in your Discord server when it's up! If we're talking pony names, I was always "Spark" when I was a community member. Though names like "Solar" and "Dusk" were briefly used by me.
