The greatest thing about the Music for me is that it's always taking me back to some scenes and then the goosebumps kick in. For example: Song 1 when the titans get on the mainland. (Before it was something else but now it's this scene) Song 2 Erwin and the scouts charging the beast. Song 3 Levi Vs Kenny's squad Song 4 2x6 nothing else needs to be said Song 5 Mikasa talking about Eren saying that she won't give up so she can remember him. Glad to see you guys really appreciated the soundtrack, most people I know didnt think much of it even if they loved the show btw Lia the scene youre trying to match in your head with "You see big girl/ T:T" was when Reiner and Bertholdt revealed themselves and began to transform 😂

2025-01-09 02:02:34 +0000 UTCRe knowing more about the music that plays during the scenes, there's a lot of thought and work that went into integrating it within the show. Certain tracks are associated with certain characters, e.g. K21 (that starts at @ 7.34), plays when Levi is about to lock in and fuck somebody up, against Kenny in Season 3 and Zeke in Season 4. Others recur with themes, e.g. Barrichestra plays whenever one of the royal bloodline rejects their legacy, in Season 3 when Historia kills her father, and in the finale when Zeke sacrifices himself to Levi to stop the Rumbling (although it also plays in Season 3 when Dina joins Grisha and the Restorationists, so maybe I'm misreading that). The song lyrics are often from specific character's perspectives, like Apple Seed @ 13:27 is essentially the story of the Warriors. It plays when Bertholdt has his epiphany as he soars through the sky of Shiganshina before his last transformation in Season 3, and it feels like we hear almost as much from him in the lyrics as we do in his dialogue during the show itself. The one you said was your fav (also mine) is Counterattack Mankind. It first plays in Season 1 when Mikasa realises she still wants to keep living (just before Titan Eren first shows up), and in Season 2 when Sasha saves Kaya, and then a variant plays at the end of the season when the crew are trying to get through to Bertholdt and he breaks down and prays for someone to 'please find us'. There are some great covers around on Youtube if you're interested. (And at a guess Lia probably remembers YouSeeBigGirl from the Reiner and Bertholdt reveal/betrayal scene).
