Comments

yes but some people almost use it as a replacement of the f slur lmaoo

suhbrly

Nice to know it's not considered a slur lol

Michael Carlson

earbuds pls, the echo is infuriating

Benjamin Lien

Seconded!

Jay_Jade

Molly as a queer person here, you can say twink. A twink is a twink ain't no shame in that

Kim555

Thank you, now after 16 hours I finally can 😭😭

Kim555

Sorry lastly, I just wanted to say don't feel bad for feeling lost at certain things. I do feel like writers/showrunners of Arcane throw many viewers right into this world, literally opening on a revolution. They could definitely explain a lot more through dialogue and explaining, but I know that could be defined as "childish." They follow the rule of "Show, don't tell" a lot in this show, especially season 2, which isn't bad. You just have to find a right balance, especially for those who might not know anything about this world, lore, or universe. They definitely rely on a lot of deductive reasoning and leaving it up to each viewers perception, which in itself can be a beauty.

Michael Carlson

That would be a very interesting salad dressing...lol

Michael Carlson

I won't delete, but appreciate your thoughts even if you disagree. I said if you want to flame or highly disagree, feel free to. I'm not here to argue, change your opinion, or change how you feel. If others have felt that way, but been too afraid to state it because others might view it as "cringe," they can agree with my sentiments, voice their opinion, or like the comment. And if you or others don't agree, feel free to respectfully disagree, flame away, or however you would like to voice your opinion. If you feel valued basically as a consumer/patreon supporter, or just don't care, I am happy for you. I already provided my thoughts, opinions and example up in my original post. I'll still support them because I've been long time fan and I do love their reactions, but as a first time patreon membership, I just wish they were a little more active with their patreon supporters & community. That goes for anybody else who might be feeling that way, I've seen plenty of other people drop passionate tid bits and take time to leave comments for added context, that might not get acknowledge until much later, if at all. Have an amazing new year @light Yagami.

Michael Carlson

I'm down for some "oil and water" salad dressing lol. Also, some of these slower moments are what arcane does best, and it's got me a little emotional ;-(

EDWIN FRANCOIS

This is pretty cringe - they definitely read their comments. I’d suggest deleting this comment

Light Yagami

The visual imagery & call backs are amazing in season 1

Michael Carlson

Well said

Michael Carlson

I guess to clarify. Wish they read comments sooner. Just seems based off experience they don't seem to read comments before their next reaction and if anybody dropped more context for them. But again I don't know if my take is bad/opinion is bad. I also get they have lives. Just wish, not just for myself, but for everybody, that they seem to pick up on notes or extra context that everybody leaves for them before their next reaction or during the introduction of their reaction. It would at least make it seem more prevelant they are more active among their community/patreon supporters. I don't mean to bash them and like I said, I've been a long time fan since The Walking Dead, just kind of how I feel as my first patreon membership. I get some might take it as a whiney take or attention seeking, but I've seen Youtube channels be more active among their subs, big and small. But that's all I got. Appreciate the kind comment and conversation.

Michael Carlson

actually, they read the coments, lia most often i think

27:32 also you can see the paralel between that scene with the boat behind and when he was a kid and couldnt reach the little boat he made.

Just to clarify Mel is Ambessa's daughter. When Mel as a child brought up who they would lead the colony they had just conquered, Mel was bringing up traits she thought would make for a great leader. Ambessa then said that perhaps that leader could be her daughter, claiming she would give her the world, as long as she has the power to be the Wolf she had wanted.

Also Skye got absorbed by the Hexcore because it needs biological matter to complete the replication that Viktor is trying to complete. Last time he had the Shimmer which basically gave him and the hexcore "extra energy" to absorb. Since this time he attempted it without the shimmer, Viktor would've been depleted if Skye had not shown up, very unfortunate. Also Jayce's mom didn't die on the mountain and the magic didn't bring her back to life. The mage just teleported them from the top of the mountain to the bottom, and she managed to survive before passing away just by proxy and being off the mountain. Also Ambessa was talking to the previous leader in that very specific line, they had just captured and saying "You could be my daughter." Mel is her biological daughter. As I dropped below, Noxus as a nation in this world is known for being a conquering nation, one of their most famous lines is "Kill them, until they are family." A lot of nations they conquer, Noxus will absorb into their nation along with all their citizens who are willing, but she was using it as a metaphor, but decided to kill the girl from the previous regime to set an example for Mel.

I am just curious about other people's thoughts... I guess feel free to flame me if you disagree or just have a hard take. But it is slightly frustrating that it seems like they don't read their comments... Now I have been a longtime fan of their Youtube channel and from The Walking Dead, but I did get Patreon just to see early reactions to Arcane. But I've always figured most patreons also is place to where they build a community with their subs in a "closer" capacity. I've actually never been big into anime and I even went back and watched "Attack On Titan" through their watch through and I know they sometimes mention they read some comments, but it wasn't until far later down the line. I could also understand if they skip reading comments in-case people drop spoilers, but typically most people are pretty polite. It's not just for me, but I feel like for anybody that takes time to support and write added extra context, it would be nice if they took notice of that per each episode. It's not even for my credit or attention, but to just have more information from previous episode and for anybody who puts time and investment into adding more details for them. Again, you can feel free to flame me/plus hard take disagreement, but I have seen others add extra context and feel bad when they don't even acknowledge the extra information. "Like I don't know who built those firelights?" Well, if you read your comments, people help clarify things for you, in-case you missed it. I also get they have their own lives outside of Patreon/Youtube, but in-way we all are your customers who support you, all for various different reasons. If you know a video is going to drop, schedule 5-10 minutes out of your day or find some time to read through your comments at some point. You don't have to reply or like every single one, but at least take time to read them and then pass on that information to your fellow friends before your next reaction. Not a best experience as my first patreon membership and from what some friends have told me with vs. Other channels that put in more effort. I've seen youtube channels big and small, have more interactions with their subs just on Youtube. That would be my only feedback for Lia, Molly, and Courtney as first time Patreon membership. If people disagree with me or think it's a L take, I'll understand. I just feel bad for anybody else who has put time into help provide context and seems like they don't take notice or just throw it to the side until many moons later. P.s. i do want to say I give kudos for their gift contest, that was and those things are cool. Just wish they put in a little more effort for everybody who is part of this/their community & patreon supporters.

Michael Carlson

Just some quick context, Noxus did not conquer or take over Piltover/Zaun, it was just showing a flashback to a colony that Noxus and her (Ambessa) regiment had taken over. And here's some background on Ambessa and the nation of Noxus Noxus as a nation can be slightly hard to explain. Overall, they are viewed as evil, expansionist nation that likes war. But internally, they just value strength above all else. Ironically, and not to retcon the show, they offer any many new nations they conquer a chance to join the nation of Noxus from lowest citizen to the highest official. If you can do something and you have the willpower to show your value, you will do well. In short, they are a meritocracy that values individuals' abilities, strengths, and talents vs. wealth, social class, or race. In short though, if you are weak, you will not survive in Noxus society.

Michael Carlson

I could be very wrong as a heterosexual male, but I don't think "Twink" is considered a slur in the gay community.

Michael Carlson

I've never gotten the impression that gay men regard the word "twink" as a slur. Alright. Back to watching your reactions. Lol.

Cherrie

Gotcha. Well have a goodnight and enjoy the watch tomorrow!

Michael Carlson

Funny thing is I can’t watch this cause I’m going to bed and even after waking up I’ll be busy till very late at night

Kim555

Dang you were quick lol

Michael Carlson

Wooo
