I would really suggest checking out the Levi OVA "No Regrets", if you're not familiar with OVAs, they're basically companion episodes that aren't a part of the main story. Usually background stuff. Anyway "No Regrets" is a 2 parter that gives you a big portion of Levi's backstory which I thought might be interesting to you guys.
