As far as the Chuck thing goes, I actually think it wasn't related to the court hearing - but instead when the woman asked "what inspired you to become a lawyer" or whatever.
Technically his influence was Chuck. The strange thing is that... there isn't really a way for the people at the hearing to know that information. They're free to *assume* that, but denying him based on your assumption - especially an assumption that makes less sense after the reason he was disbarred - is definitely some high level of bullshit.
