2021-05-28 19:21:59 +0000 UTCanother example: supposing one of your patreons took it upon themselves to do a bunch of ads advertising your reaction channel and pretending to be you, and was saying say 'better than other rubbish reaction channels' and insulting other reactors, or promising patreon rewards that you do not offer, and then started blasting them around the internet. And it worked, and increased your patreon numbers. Would you have no justification to be angry at someone potentially damaging your reputation and taking it upon themselves to represent and pose as you publicly without you even having a say so?

The law partners were unhappy that he made and aired a commercial with their name on it without even talking to them or showing them first, I run a business and if one of my employees took it upon themselves to make and air a commercial for the company, making their own decisions how to portray my company and using emotional manipulation to buy our product, or say insulting other rival games, without even telling me or allowing me to make sure it was appropriate I'd be pretty pissed lol even if the ad worked. Also the advert, as professional and cool as it was compared to their stuffy crappy ads, could be seen as emotionally exploitative and tacky and the firm have a lot of other clients and a lot more money coming in from other sources and are worried about their reputation. Jimmy went to ask permission to air the ad and stopped at the door, and just decided to do it anyway because he knew they'd say no. So even though it was for the good of the case he was working on its kinda a dick move as someone working at a company to play with their public image without even consulting them. I think they are within their rights to be angry tbh :D
