I think the experimentation of campy meta form, performances and shock value is the strength of the season. The writing takes a lot of logic shortcuts. The producer said their phone calls were disabled and only the camera works. So many horror characters are dummies. The show just doesn't do a fantastic job of covering the seams. To me, overall it's bold and fun!
