I personally think it's a good episode, but it's filled with much sadness, the whole dream sequences of him being separated from his brother, then his dialogues with the girl, and also their separation at the end. It's all very tragic. It is in any case a highly creative and unusual way to tell a story about someone "coming back" from the dead. It also features some phenomenal acting by Zeljko Ivanek as Roland. He's pretty amazing in every role he plays. With that being said, I haven't seen "12 Monkeys", but I checked a few moments ago and he does play that character there, so you did indeed recognize him. Can't wait for the season one finale!
