SHOULD SEX OFFENDERS BE CASTRATED? - PODCAST #85

Earlier this month, Louisiana became the first U.S. state to approve forced surgical castration for the worst of sex offenders, only awaiting the governor's signature to come into effect. While a handful of states already have chemical castration on the table, is chopping off testicles too far?

They would still have they're hands or fingers. If removed as well...they couldn't still commit awful sex crimes with these, IMO 🙄😒

A step further: Should the perp be released, 50% of their income goes to the survivor. If a survivor were to commit suicide as a result of their trauma, the perp is then held responsible for murder.

I believe a sex offender, especially perpetrated on children, should accept the consequence of chemical castration as long as the survivor is still dealing with the trauma inflicted by the perpetrator. I am 55 years old, and I am still trying to cope with my childhood sexual abuse. While my C-PTSD symptoms and other diagnosis may be able to be managed, one diagnosis I have is a life sentence, and that is dissociative identity disorder (DID), which is with me every day until the day I die. I'd like to hear an argument as to why a perpetrator eventually gets released or off chemical castration while a victim still suffers from the impact of the crime they survived. A perpetrator's consequence should be a life sentence. The only person with authority to release a child rapist from their sentence should be the victim.

Some offenders are caught in the act or there is DNA evidence of the physical attack.
