I think it’s important to remember that each of them are taking actions for their own personal reasons—Jones may spout it’s for humanity.. but it’s really just about her daughter. Or else she wouldn’t have destroyed the research on the vaccine. Cole is doing it now to save Cassie. Jose is doing it to save his family. After living the way they have been for years.. seeing failed attempt after failed attempt—I think it’s entirely normal to take a step back and maybe say.. this isn’t working and I need to do everything I can to save and protect those I love.

I don't get it. Is it really surprising that: 1. A person would try to protect their loved ones in the present, instead of trying for a nebulous future? 2. Somebody gets killed when you march armed soldiers into a hostile camp? At least Barnes had the presence of mind to execute the offender so his men could actually return home. 3. That someone would try to save their husband by completing the virus? 4. Cassandra doesn't want to kill some one in cold blood? 5. That Barnes would be sorry for his men killing Elena? He killed his own man who did that. Sorry, couldn't watch anymore of the reaction after that. Your snippiness and lack of empathy really make everything worse, in what is a great episode that changes everything. I really doubt you'd make any choices that leads to better outcomes than the characters if you were in the same situation.

This episode can be frustrating. We all like to think we'd act in humanity's best interest, but when it comes down to it, we're all selfish creatures. These aren't clones of Spock they are sending back in time. Speaking of clones, its about time you recognized Sarah's dad from Orphan Black! That aside, you discuss all of these deeply personal motivations (Jones, Ramse, etc.) behind each character's actions, yet you say its every person for themselves, when every person is doing it for someone else regardless of their own well being, selfish motives not withstanding. It seems like the obvious choice but if it meant saving someone close to you, would you still act accordingly? Next topic, here are the big questions you have so far and one was answered this episode. Let me know if I missed anything, I'll add it to the list. ~~What's up with the flowers?~~ He uses them to mask the smell of death. It's an old plague trick. Why is that old tall guy so strong? Who is the Witness? Where did the origin come from? Who is that woman? What's going on with Cole? What do the Army of the 12 Monkeys want with Cassie? What's this red forest business? What's this address Cassie has given Cole? What the hell's just happened to the plant? They're not red unless he's been there. What? Prepare to be frustrated. Cheers!
