The Expanse 1x8 FULL LENGTH + REACTION & REVIEW

Comments

As frustrating as The Expanse can be in Season 1, you are meant to feel the frustration of everyone trying to unravel this mystery, from Holden and crew to Miller, to Chrisjen Avasarala trying to hold things together on Earth. Even in the lobby of The Blue Falcon, the slow pace of things is meant to be totally agonizing as a viewer because you hold pieces of info a bit more than the main characters and you know something bad is about to happen. In all honesty, thank God for Amos' instincts in that scene as you point out, otherwise, well, it would have had a different ending. E8 is excellent and then the rest from now on better and better!

You should count yourself lucky that their missionaries have never come knocking at your door. Regular occurence here in the states.

The statue that was shown is on the tip of the Nauvoo, the Mormon generation ship that Fred Johnson and Tycho station are building for them. It's a huge ship and sort of like Babylon 5 if your familiar with it. It will become very clear what happened to Julie in the next couple of episodes.

You were very much correct when you noticed that the stealth ship they found in this episode (the Anubis) was the ship from the first scene in episode one, and that Julie was the person who forced open the airlock and managed to get away on the escape pod after seeing the glowing blue stuff consume one of the crewmembers. And now that this part of the story has been pieced together, the series dials-up the intensity considerably. The next two episodes are...well, you'll see.
