When she questioned Gretchen and realised that they didn't pay for Walt's treatment, it was no longer about an affair but instead about the lies and deceit. Especially about how he came up with $100k without her knowing.

Walter's speech was REAL, and people didn't liked it, and were freaked out by it, cause: people Jesse is using(mostly)methamphetamine which creates average(at best)physical addiction, different to amphetamine(psychological only)but still, it's easier to quit meth than nicotine, and with those kind of drugs, decision, or(no)access to it, is what matters the most, same as with cocaine
