This does remind me of 80s and early 90s anime centered in nobility, love and tragedy with tittles like Candy Candy come to mind. Mama Arc did experienced somethign very personal, something that afffected her dudirng the revolutiuon that caused the image of her family to be less powerful, or perhaps bad trauma (Bastard sibling perhaps?) and whatever kindness she had to Kali is mostly gone.

2026-01-11 18:34:21 +0000 UTCDisagree on the idea that Jaune’s mom had something happen to her some people are just that hateful but keep it behind a thin veneer of tolerating in this case Faunus existing because they can be put to use. This outburst was clearly something that’s been stewing since Jaune and Blake became friends something which she was only barely willing to tolerate to begin with until it was clear Jaune was closer to them than she thought. I kinda hope this becomes a situation like from Django with the Candi family where the parents die and the kids are left being stewarded by the eldest Slave in this case Kali.
