Lorewalking #006: Adventures In The Valley Of Bones

Today, we're celebrating what Azeroth meant to us back in the day. The power of adventure that was possible in World of Warcraft when we were new. In particular, Desolace's Valley Of Bones - the perfect example of zones having tons of story, without really having any story at all.

My brain is mush - barely remembers pre-cata Azeroth - but here is my list: - Path of the Titans (potentially leading to Dragon isles) - Knight's Hollow (as mention in comment above me) - in vanilla/classic Azshara there was this gigantic broken Night Elf statue (don't remember if it survived the cata revamp) - cave with sleeping dragon on the coast of Silithus (but quick googling says it's a tribute). And that's probably all that my brain can squeeze out from those not mentioned or not revamped/used later.

A place I will always remember is the creepy Knights Hollow in Duskwood. I remember exploring paths and suddenly stumbling over this place with the same iconic statues as at the Dark Portal and wondering what that was all about! Loved Duskwood.
