The Demon Throne Series: Beelzebub's Fantasy

Hey hey people, Klok here! MWTX delivers another awesome piece of artwork. The best thing about this one is that it finally gives us images for two characters we haven't seen yet!

In today's image, we get to see Beelzebub's Fantasy; a world where all women worship him like a god. Different from Bael's fantasy, where he simply gets all the ladies due to being a badass, this image is all about Beelzebub's perception of himself versus reality. Bael earned his place atop the demon hierarchy. He fought the Archdemon, battled Archangels, and survived for well over a hundred millennia to obtain the fruits of his labor.

Beelzebub, however, is a young upstart with nothing to his name. Sure, he's become a Duke, but compared to Bael, Mephisto, and Barbatos's incredible feats, Beelzebub has achieved little in the way of merits. Many demons look down at him, but Beelzebub brushes them off due to his condescending nature and giant ego.

Looking around the image, we notice something else; the positioning of the women in the drawing. Notice that in Beelzebub's fantasy, Belial and Ose, two Demon Emperors who rank higher than him, kiss his face and dote on him, revealing his desire to have powerful women bow before him. Meanwhile, Lily, Benjamin Brown's daughter, clings to his leg, which is all she's worth in his eyes. As a wretched human, Beelzebub doesn't consider her worth his time, nor does he consider Rosalia, his servant, worthy of his affections.

Beelzebub places high emphasis not only on looks, but also on status and ability. If all three are not up to par, he judges the woman to be beneath him and not worth his time. 

One might even gaze upon Beelzebub and find traces of the dreaded incel among his character traits. Hmm!

I really love the work MWTX did on Lily and Rosalia. Lily was originally written to have brown hair, but I already changed her description for her first appearance. Rosalia is simply perfect, fitting the image I had in my mind to a science.

The next image MWTX will be working on will feature Belial alone. After her will probably come Ose. Then Diablo, Lucifer, and so on until we reach the final demon... Gressil.
