Sentinels, the most powerful beings in the galaxy.

First created by Volgrim Technopaths during the Seven Great Wars, Sentinels were designed to be indestructible peace-keeping robots capable of enforcing order and suppressing the violent sectors among the various Volgrim worlds.

Their original programming was rushed out due to a lack of time. Sentinels had a solution implemented to keep themselves in line called the 'Point System.' Negative actions, such as genocide, would count as massive losses in points, while positive actions, such as keeping the peace and preventing war, would count as positive points. In this way, Cuanali, the creator of the Sentinels, intended to keep them in line and prevent them from causing harm.

Sadly, her efforts became moot. The Sentinels eventually recoded themselves and turned to extermination of what they deemed the inferior biologicals. Mass genocide followed soon after, and the Volgrim were forced to unite before a mere 100 Sentinels exterminated the entirety of the Volgrim species.

Cuanali and the other leaders placed the Sentinels into deep storage, since their bodies were nigh-indestructible. All they could do was hope that nobody found and awakened them ever again.

Doomsday Unit Morphox is an outlier, even among other Sentinels. Capable of leveling cities in seconds, Morphox is by far the most powerful of all Sentinels. Designed by Cuanali as a last-ditch solution to revolt and uprising, Morphox is the equivalent of a reusable nuclear weapon. Not only is Morphox's weaponry unthinkably powerful, its defenses are astounding as well. Taking a nuke point-blank to the face would not phase this Sentinel in the slightest.

Morphox is a slow, lumbering Sentinel. It speaks in short, three-word sentences. It moves slowly. It computes slowly. It only acts if ordered by other Sentinels, since it lacks somewhat in the initiative department. Generally speaking, Morphox is most dangerous when directly controlled by Mulgris, the leader of the Sentinels.

Equipped with a Lightning Accelerator and Plasmoid Bombardment Cannons, Morphox can wipe out massive groups of infantry and vehicles with its right arm, and annhilate cities from a distance with its left. Additionally, Morphox's three telescopic eyeballs can fire Incision Lasers, slicing through nearly any material including flesh and steel. They move independently of one another, offering Morphox a 360 degree view of the battlefield, improved further by its 135-foot-tall height.

In Cryopod Classic, Morphox had a weird, four-sided pyramid head. I tried that at first with MWTX, but it came out looking stupid. We switched to tentacle-eyeballs because not only are they more practical, they're also way more badass!

The first two were totally off from what we ended up going with, but they were interesting experiments.

After those two, we tried out having a head with three eyes attached via a tentacle. It looked silly, but we kept it for a few more versions until we came up with something better.

In this version, we tries using three tentacle heads. It seemed a lot cooler, so we stuck with it.

By now, the weaponry was coming along and seemed fairly badass.

In this version, we finally switched to three single-eyed heads. I think it was an excellent choice.

This is where the fun begins. COLORS!

This lime-green one wasn't around for long, but I really liked the coloring. If we weren't trying to go for a dark, scary Sentinel, this would have made for a great color theme.
