The Hiro Family (Jason, Phoebe, and Daisy too!)

Today's art post is a double-wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am! Not only do we get drawings of the entire Hiro family, we also get eight dedicated drawings to Daisy!

Jason Hiro, of course, is the protagonist of Cryopod. He marries the woman who nurses him back to health after suffering a grievous wound, and they have one child; Daisy.

Daisy is a precocious little girl. Raised as a member of de-facto royalty, she lives a sheltered life far away from the frontlines of the demon war. Because her father will do anything for her and can use his Wordsmithing to satisfy her every need, she is a somewhat spoiled little girl. Luckily, Phoebe is a woman who lived through Hell and back. She manages to ground her daughter with strict habits, teaching her to be more self-aware and even manages to teach a bit of swordplay.

In Cryopod Classic, Daisy was something of a different character, but perhaps not. Saying anything else would be a spoiler!

Jason has several drawings.

This is the first image for Jason; him in the Labyrinth with Gressil's claws reaching toward him. When Jason first enters the Labyrinth, he's a fresh-faced 18 years old (plus a hundred thousand years in cryostasis, but who's counting?) but later, he uses his Wordsmithing to alter his body and to make himself more good-looking.

During this period of time, Jason is hyper-edgy. He's overconfident and thinks too highly of himself. Eventually, he gets his shit kicked in a few times and mellows out a bit.

Then comes the timeskip, leading to the original image above. Six years pass, he and Phoebe get married and have a child, and he becomes more of a leader to his people. He's not a genius yet, but he's still learning the ropes.

Phoebe only has one character design image, but I do love the way it makes her into a badass.

Given Phoebe was born and raised in Arthurian-era Camelot, she's not a soft woman. She's kicked some ass, and gotten her ass kicked too. While physically she looks to be inn her late 30's or early 40's, she, too, lived for over a hundred thousand years, thanks to Bahamut's riddle magic extending her lifespan past its natural limit. I suppose that means she and Jason are a match made in Hell, eh?

The rest of this month, as I've said before, is SECRET CHARACTER MONTH! Every release this december will be a secret, Patron-only character. Characters from Cryopod Classic will make a return, as well as a bunch of new ones! I will release them all publicly whenever we reach a part number where they first appear.
