Experimented a bit on a nice and smooth pitch shifting algorithm, and came down to this device, yet to be finalized, but already featuring:
- global pitch shifter from -48 semitones to 48 semitones, quantized or not
- Shifter value controlled by a free or synced LFO, with the same shapes as my previous Multi LFO device
- 8 voices of unison per channel
- Density setting to phase shift the unison voices or have them pitch synced
- Stereo setting to globally shift between channels (at maximum value left and right are opposite phases)
- envelope follower for the LFO intensity
- downward pitchshift and upward pitchshift with separate controls (cents or up to 24 semitones each)
- jitter and smooth parameters for the LFO
- dry/wet knob to mix between input signal and shifted
Use of this can be quite wide:
- simple smooth pitch shift
- unison based on input sound
- pitch wobbling
- chord creation (mixing input note with shifted one, though only two pitches at the same time here of course)
- risers or downlifter creation out of any sound (automating the offset)
