Fledgling
Added 2025-06-09 19:58:16 +0000 UTCSince we have our own newborn, I thought it would be fitting to reshare this story I made a couple of years ago for Patreon. Here it is again all in one post! Originally, it was supposed to be one single strip, but I kept having little ideas for it, so I decided to make something a little longer but not Kneesvember-length. I made it just a few weeks before starting Woven, and I think it really helped me get back into the mindset of writing something longer. It's pretty silly and the art gets a bit iffy at times, but I like it still.
I want to thank all of you who have preordered my new collection of comics "Ew, It's Beautiful"! It's currently #1 on amazon USA for 'Humorous Graphic Novels', which it isn't. It's also #1 on amazon Canada for 'Birdwatching Field Guides', haha! Eat it, Sibley!
Amazon is the only site that gives me any sort of metrics for how the book is doing. I know it's a bit indecorous to talk about it, but where else would I? Anyway, support your local, independent bookstores when you can!

"Fledgling" is the perfect balance of cute, funny and realistic. I read the entire thing several times when you first posted it, and keep re-reading it as each individual section is posted on Webtoon etc. Love it!
