Weird light

Last week I saw my first (and hopefully not only) total solar eclipse. We were so lucky to have a clear day and to be able to see it from our balcony in Montréal. I can't get over how surreal of an experience it was. The birds really did go quiet during totality. I imagine they were just as flabbergasted as I was.

The reflections of the eclipse in their little eyes!

I need this print 🩵💙in my LIFE!

Excellent job in capturing the look in the birds' faces, Joshua.

Our eclipse did not involve the moon, but a cloud. This one covered the entire sky besides the sun for the day. Sad thing was we were just a few degrees off the total path. Boo hiss boo hiss.

I had to make an epic road trip to Ohio. Started with someone turning down the dimmer switch on the sun, then the sun turned into a glowing Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut with a giant cone of darkness descending around it, and sunset effects all around the horizon.

My brother and I drove to Dallas and got lucky with the clouds - absolutely amazing and the looks on the birds face was my whole family

I visited Montréal last week for this reason! We actually drove out halfway to Toronto as we were invited by friends, but the rest of the week was wonderful wandering through the city!

So apparently the birds think it's night then day again. But yeah dear schoolers during totality

Ruthniss

This has such a lovely gravity to it. I swear I could hear the universe vibrating/shaking on the eclipse panel! No wonder the birds were speechless!

I would love a print of this one! I definitely channeled those birdos during totality.

The gulls flew out during the totality? That sounds beautiful! I can definitely make a print of this for you. I was originally planning on colouring (digitally) the whole thing blue, but I forgot to try before posting. If you email me at bark@falseknees.com I can show you what the print could look like in pencil like seen here, or blue.

I hope those birds didn’t stare too long!

I'm in NB and saw the totality too! He wind stopped! One crow was the only bird making any noise, it was amazing

Also had the privilege to witness totality! We were on the waterfront of Lake Champlain and all the gulls around us flew out into the water. Would love this as a print.

Bridget

I saw it, too! In Indianapolis.

I had an almost full (93%) where I live and it was amazing. A friend and I went for a walk and the light was really wierd. But I imagine so were we and everyone else looking through our solar glasses. 😅
