Helloooo Patrons!
Inktober is finally over (Josh is working on the last one, a Bobcat, right now). If you haven't seen them, you can find all his drawings on his Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. This year was great and I hope you've been having as much fun as we have with all the prompts. A funny consequence of letting you choose the prompts is that Josh has really improved at drawing fur, which is awesome!
We've finally received the tank tops (which we were waiting on for months) and they look just as good as the Tshirts! For the new Patrons that may not have seen this summer's posts, Josh has been working with a local printing shop to make the first ever False Knees Tshirts. They're not available for sale to everyone yet, just for Patrons since he wanted you to have first dibs if you wanted one (there are only 100 Tshirts and 90 tank tops). You can see the design at the top of this post. Somehow the tank tops took way longer to get done, but we finally received them last week! Here's what they look like (I'm 5'6" and wearing a size S):

They are the same quality as the Tshirt - from Canvas+Bella, and super soft. We have sizes S, M, L and XL, and you can see the chart size here). However you can see the size S is quite loose on me, I would have chosen a size smaller if I could. Especially around the arms:

So, make sure to keep that in mind if you order one! We also still have some Tshirts left in all sizes (see this summer's post to see what they look like!) so you can still order these too if you'd like. Both Tshirts and tank tops cost CAD $35 each, plus shipping which depends on where you live. If you're interested in ordering one, just let us know in the comments or message Josh what size you'd like, and where you live, so we can let you know how much shipping would be.
Josh is planning on putting them up in his store on the week of November 11, so people have time to order them before Christmas, so do let us know before that if you want one :) He won't reuse this design for the future Tshirts he'll make through an online retailer (he's still doodling on the style of designs you all voted on last month) so these will be the only ones with that crow.
But enough about merch! Have you watched the new documentary on Netflix called "Dancing with Birds"? It came out last week, it's narrated by Stephen Fry and it's about the unbelievable mating rituals of Birds of Paradise in Papua New Guinea. We had seen a few of these birds featured in other nature documentaries before, but this one had us mouth agape for an hour. We strongly recommend it to all nature lovers! We have been wondering how birds get to evolve these insane plumage and dances. Since food seems to be particularly abundant in that area of the world, perhaps this is what nature does when basic needs are covered... it makes art :)
