Moulding and Casting

The two-part mould of the Cultists is done and I've done a couple of pours. It failed exactly how I expected it might, and the feet of the Cultists keep ending up with some pretty bad bubbles. This all could be avoided if I didn't put them on a sprue. This won't be a problem for my personal use but for selling them this mold needs some rethinking.

The Daemon Prince however, while being a bit of a pain to demold, turned out really great, very happy with the casts and the assembly. I will likely sell it in a very limited run, preassembled, and any bubbles filled with black milliput. I really love the black finish, it makes it look just as much a sculpture and not just a model to be painted in my opinion.

The original however did not survive.

Tonight I shot some "vlog" footage for a short film for my friend Tyler (Billion Dollar Clown Farm) which you can checkout here.

Portable Workshop
I have an on-going project at the moment that requires a portable bookcase, one that can be sealed up and protected from dust and elements.

I have gutted an old camera case and cleaned up the inside, but now it needs to be reinforced (because books are bloody heavy turns out) and I also need a shelf in it. All of which I'll be making out of old bakers trays for a bit of visual interest.

I'll also be incorporating this set of draws as a fun apothecary cabinet style insert. This was also salvaged from the TV studio and once held microphones.

While working on this I was also visited by a furry eight-legged friend. While harmless, their speed always freaks me out. Also they typically only move when startled or you're not looking at them which is scary in itself.
The portable speaker project I worked on with my dad now all works after replacing some old fuses and now it's time to assemble it into its box.

I'm now working on some treasure item cards to play test through Patreon. These will be a bit more experimental and they will be closely related to the content of my previous videos and my favourite projects.
