Both would've made for a great intro, but I think Ep 2 helps to explain the world they're living in a bit better while still providing an interesting hook. That's what I think anyway π€·ββοΈ

I would recommend that u watch the anime's final episodes and movie for the '03 version after u finish the newer one, cuz they made some wild friggin ideas to "conclude" the series that was still unfinished
