Post-Steven Universe?
Added 2024-03-01 17:45:35 +0000 UTCHappy Friday y'all! Steven Universe is going to be over before we know it, and I'm almost certain the movie and Future series will be going on YouTube. So...that begs the question - what's next? Usually I have a few ideas in mind - but I'd like to do this a bit differently. I'm still pretty new to reacting and I'm not sure what some popular series are that I may have missed.
I'd love to hear some suggestions about what some of your other favorite creators are reacting to and from there I can do a poll on what you'd all like to see the most!
So, let me know what you'd like to see and if I see a lot of the same answers I'll create a poll later on to nail down what we'd all be excited for! :)

2024-03-02 22:16:51 +0000 UTCI love all the suggestions so far but have to plug what IMO might be the greatest masterpiece of western animation in the 21st century... Infinity Train. There are only four seasons and each season is only 10 episodes (episodes being similar length to Steven Universe episodes), so each season is only about as long as a single movie, and each season tells a self-contained but connected story. It gets into the kind of mature themes and emotional depth you've seen in the best of SU but in a much tighter package. Other recs: Ducktales 2017, this is a natural followup to Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and Owl House since a lot of the same folks worked on it. Great animation, much more character development and serialized plot than the original 80s-90s incarnation. Harley Quinn, if you want more adult humor in your animation like Bojack or Hazbin Hotel (IMO it's much funnier than Hazbin, though less plot-driven).

2024-03-02 05:39:51 +0000 UTCCentaurworld and Kipo are both much shorter than Adventure Time so either is less of a commitment. I wouldn't be unhappy with either of them coming before Adventure Time, though I love all three. I mentioned before that Adventure Time is reminiscent of Steven Universe in a lot of ways (Rebecca Sugar worked on it before SU) but it does take a lot longer to get to ongoing plot and lore, whereas Centaurworld and Kipo are much more oriented around serialized stories (more so than SU for that matter).

2024-03-02 05:27:41 +0000 UTCThat was one I did a while back - I wanted to see if that was still wanted vs something else since there's been a lot of new patrons since then. I also opened this up to everyone, not just paid patrons atm. Adventure Time is going to be in the poll though as well! The plan is to just gather ideas to plan, so I'm not stressin' when SU ends 🤣
